How do we do things at Excellent Cleaners?

Our plant, equipment and solvents are meticulously maintained on a daily basis, so your clothes come out their cleanest. A high standard of quality in all aspects of our store is a priority to insure top-notch results.

Counter and Pre-inspection
When you entrust your garments to us, we inspect them before, during and after processing. Upon taking in an order, we carefully tag your garments and enter them into our computerized inventory system. 

Next, we inspect the general condition of your clothes, checking the manufacturer's care instructions, noting the fiber content, looking for unusual or designer buttons or accessories. We prepare your garments prior to cleaning as necessary for protection: covering or removing buttons, securing shoulder pads, measuring, etc. We also separate your garments according to fabric type, color, and degree of soiling.

Dry Cleaning
It takes an experienced and skilled spotter to know what spots can be safely removed, and how best to do it. We pre-spot every piece before it goes into our system.

At Excellent Cleaners our employees have years of dry cleaning experience so they know how to clean everything from silks to denim– quickly and carefully.

Finishing Touches
Different fabrics are handled differently, and the pressing of fine garments also requires special, expert care. Our knowledgeable and experienced pressers carefully hand finish your clothes according to their special needs to restore their original shape and appearance. Some fabrics, like linen or cotton, usually require more heat and pressure for a nice, crisp finish, while fine wools and wool blends require a soft press to avoid a shiny finish.

As with all our dry cleaning services, our finishing is expertly done with special attention to different types of garments. For example:

• Shirts/Blouses-All sleeves are 'rolled', meaning pressed without a crease. Special attention is always given to the collar & cuffs. We also put tissue in the sleeves of most women’s blouses to protect the shape. 

• Pants- Pleats line up with the crease. All lining is steamed out, and pants that should be rolled are delivered perfectly every time!

• Jacket/Blazers- The lapel rolls from the top button. There are no impressions or shine, especially under the pocket flaps. The lining is pressed to perfection.

• Sweaters-After cleaning, we carefully block sweaters, then gently remove those annoying balls, pills & lint.

The Little Extras
We do minor repairs at no charge, such as:

• If there's a missing or loose button hook or loop, we take care of it for you.

• If there's a loose label, small open seams, or a few stitches out of the hem, we pull out a needle and thread and sew it right up!

• If there’s a missing button on a shirt, skirt or a pair of pants we replace it right away.

• Any lint remaining is carefully removed to finish the job!
